Chief Executive, Andrew Barber

Andy Joined us in 2021 whilst a full time CEO at HEY Smile Foundation to support the charity on an interim basis. In January 2023 we were lucky enough that Andy decided to join us full time as our CEO. 

He has been aiding the Board and operational team, as we looked to invest in the future, establishing a new strategy, creating a new identity and building partnerships that will provide us with a platform to further grow services for existing residents further. Andy has also reviewed our current housing ensuring it meets our ever-growing need for our independent living accommodation. 

Andy is a skilled and experienced Chief Executive, with 20 years of operations experience in the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) sector operationally, and as a Trustee and Governor across charitable and public sectors.

Operational Team 

Kerry Conner (Business Manager)

Kerry joined us in November 2022, aiding Andrew and the Board of Trustees with the task to modernise the Charity, ensuring it was fit for purpose for the changes ahead.  Her key roles are finance and the charities governance, ensuring we are compliant with the Charities Commission requirements. 

Kerry has over 20 years experience in the Voluntary sector, and has a real passion for continuous improvement and making a difference! 

Angela Gray (Resident engagement, repairs, and maintenance)

Angela ensures that our proactive and reactive maintenance is managed daily by overseeing all of our maintenance. Angela is often the first point of contact for residents and contractors and has a warm and welcoming voice to calm concerns. Angela is one of our longest serving staff members and sits at the heart of the charity. 

Claire Scott (Resident Engagement)

Claire joined Beverley Housing Charity to further enhance our capacity to engage with residents, in February 2022.  Claire ensures our residents voice is heard both within the charity and with partner services. Working with The Housing Committee Claire aids the smooth and efficient journey for our existing and new residents within the charity.

Steve Helliwell-Morris (Gardens & Wellbeing)

Steve operates across all of our sites and is seen daily by residents. Leading in the development of our gardens, aiding the health and well-being of residents. Often the face of the charity, Steve is warm friendly and compassionate and a font of knowledge on horticulture.  Steve is our longest serving staff member.

Kevin Marling, (Surveyor)

Central to our property improvements is the team of Chartered Building Surveyors at Delaney Marling Partnership. Kevin Marling collaborates closely with our team on a weekly basis, devising plans and cost estimates for the necessary renovations.

The Gas Company

The team at The Gas Company are our trusted partner for top-notch residential services. Beverley Housing Charity collaborates with a dedicated and highly professional team to deliver essential services to our residents.
